Well i don't know if it was w reflexive.com or not, it was so long ago when i purchased it.  I will go ahead with the uninstall and reinstall and check it again.  Where do i look in the Windows/System32 folder?

I am quite a computer novice when it comes to those types of files.

thanks

Hi ;D

Are you talking about this game?
http://www.reflexive.com/ElfBowling717TheLastInsult.html

If after reinstalling it you still have an error of BASS_FX, please make sure that you don't have another BASS_FX.DLL in "windows\system32\" folder, as there might be some other software that installed it there :)

Let me know if it helps or not.

BASS_FX / Elf Bowling bass_fx.dll error
« Last post by gomer309 on December 31, 2009, 10:33:02 PM »
Several years ago i purchased and downloaded a game, Elf Bowling the last insult.  It has worked fine for all these  years, all of sudden when trying to start the game i get a bass_fx.dll error which says it doesnt exist or is corrupt or something, error 998.

I contacted oberon media, they gave me a new download file, i did that, same problem.  I tried uninstalling and downloaded file again, no luck, same problem.

Nothing appears to have changed, but my grandkids really like the game.

Any thoughts or insight would be helpful.

thank you.

BASS_FX / VBR and Bass_FX
« Last post by 3dsolar on June 05, 2009, 03:42:31 PM »
Arthur,
We have problems playing loops and using the graph with VBR mp3.

For example if we see the graph of an mp3 recorded in VBR and then convert to CBR then graph is different and so if we ask to loop precisely between 10.00 sec to 11:26 sec for example it wont be the same before and after the conversion if VBR change between 10.00 and 11.26.

So is it also possible that in case of VBR that the position between you and bass gets different, and loops play badly because graph don't match bass playback?
Thank You

BASS_FX / Re: Instant Tempo + Reverse change
« Last post by (: JOBnik! :) on April 24, 2009, 02:20:12 PM »
Hi ;D

You can't free the source handle as long as you need it for Tempo/Reverse playback. If you need to free Tempo/Reverse handle, only then free source as well if use BASS_FX_FREESOURCE flag, so BASS_FX will free the source handle.

I think you could make the change instant by seeking on the output stream, eg. get its position and then set the position to the same. That'll clear the output buffer, so that new data is played next. :)

BASS_FX / Instant Tempo + Reverse change
« Last post by bboy on April 18, 2009, 08:43:15 PM »
Hi JOBnik.
I want to create a little DJ software (I think this is possible because you say so in your readme.) A major aspect I deal with at the moment is scratching. Therefore I must change TEMPO and REVERSE_DIRECTION very often and in very small time intervalls. I came up  similar to your example "reverse.c". There, you created a reverse stream out of the original stream and then created the tempo stream out of the reverse stream. The first question is why can you FREE_SOURCE the source stream and then later get a handle (srcChan) to this stream. The next thing is when I change the REVERSE_DIRECTION it is not instantly changed on what I hear from the speakers, how can I fix this?

Thank you very much for BASS_FX.
