BASS_FX / missing symbols in Linux
« Last post by grabi on November 16, 2010, 11:01:23 AM »
Hi, I have problems with version 2.4 for Linux.
libbass_fx.so crash with error: segmentation fault.

The "contest" example (http://www.un4seen.com/forum/?topic=11335.msg78940#msg78940) works fine but this code fails:
Code: [Select]
#include <stdlib.h>
#include <stdio.h>
#include <dlfcn.h>
#include "bass.h"
#include "bass_fx.h"

void main(int argc, char **argv)
{
void *libHandle = dlopen ("./libbass_fx.so",RTLD_LAZY);
}

I use Realbasic and I have notified Feedbak system. The answer is:
Quote
It appears that the .so file is missing some symbols like BASS_GetVersion, maybe more, not sure.
We can probably fix it so it no longer segfaults, but the problem remains that you will not be able to use that .so library until the symbol BASS_GetVersion is resolved.
is it possible?

thanks.

What are good values to use as a starting point for BASS_BFX_DAMP and BASS_BFX_COMPRESSOR2?

Thanks

Steve

Code: [Select]
#include <stdlib.h>
#include <stdio.h>
#include <dlfcn.h>
#include "bass.h"
#include "bass_fx.h"

void main(int argc, char **argv)
{

void *libHandle = dlopen ("./libbass_fx.so",RTLD_LAZY);

BASS_FX / how can I use the bass_fx.dll in darkbasic pro ?
« Last post by dman10001 on September 11, 2010, 08:21:09 PM »
Is there a new way of implementing it in darkbasic pro ?

I tried to use in darkbasic pro the bass.dll works fine, but the bass_fx returns a zero.

I checked the source name and version.

here is the code I used.  Please help.

Code: [Select]
#constant DECODE            0x200000
#constant SAMPLE_FX         128
#constant LOOP_CHN         4
#constant AUTOFREE          0x40000
#constant PRESCAN            0x20000
#constant FLOAT_CHN       256
#constant REVERSE_ATTRIBUTE 0x11000
#constant FORWARD_CHN           1
#constant REVERSE_CHN          -1

type img

  x as integer
  y as integer

endtype

global dim ins(640*30) as img
global stream as dword
global effect as dword
global length
global bpp1
global bpp2
global i

set display mode 640,480,32
  sync on
ink rgb(255,255,0),rgb(0,0,0)

load dll "bass.dll",1
load dll "bass_fx.dll",2

nul = call dll (1,"BASS_Init",-1,44100,0,0,0)

stream = call dll (1,"BASS_StreamCreateFile",0,"1.mp3",0,0,DECODE || FLOAT_CHN )
effect = call dll (2,"BASS_FX_TempoCreate",stream, DECODE  )
effect = call dll (2,"BASS_FX_ReverseCreate",effect,2.0, AUTOFREE )

BASS_FX / Re: Pitch Shifting
« Last post by (: JOBnik! :) on July 24, 2010, 10:30:01 PM »
Hi ;D

Hello, thank you for your work on bass_fx.

Is there an example of pitch shifting, changing the pitch without altering the tempo?

You're welcome :)

To change the pitch without altering the tempo use BASS_ChannelSetAttribute function with BASS_ATTRIB_TEMPO_PITCH attribute.
Please also see documentations for more info.

Hi;D

Hello, I am having trouble with the linux version too. When I test the "contest" example I get:

/tmp/ccJMbUui.o: In function `getDecodingBPM':
contest.c:(.text+0x4c): undefined reference to `BASS_FX_BPM_DecodeGet'
contest.c:(.text+0x58): undefined reference to `BASS_FX_BPM_Free'
/tmp/ccJMbUui.o: In function `main':
contest.c:(.text+0x189): undefined reference to `BASS_FX_GetVersion'
contest.c:(.text+0x29e): undefined reference to `BASS_FX_TempoCreate'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [contest] Error 1

Am I doing something silly?

Please confirm that you're using the latest LIBBASS_FX.SO and LIBBASS.SO
Tested again and the contest works fine...
